Xfire

Sent via Xfire System Broadcast today:

Xfire was bought by new owners today. Most of the team that has built Xfire over the last six years is leaving. We enjoyed working for you for the last 127 releases and wish we could stay to create the next 127. Good bye, good luck, and game on.

Team cRucial dumps Bc2

Post by Lithoss at 02:04 PM 6/18/10

Sadly, Team cRucial has decided to withdraw from Battlefield: Bad Company 2 competition. There were many reasons for this decision, none of which made the decision any easier.

Though not the only reason, the consensus among the members of Team cRucial (and much of the Battlefield communicty) is that the game (Bc2) is just... broken. DICE has clearly shown no motivation to fix huge holes in the game. Huge gameplay problems, such as revive invulnerability, AT/tracer dart balance issues, weapon imbalance and squad hopping problems have resulted in a game that is not enjoyable for competitive play. An example on DICE's focus on only appeasing the "not so BF savvy players", aka noob masses, can be found here: http://forums.electronicarts.co.uk/battlefield-bad-company-2-pc/1168157-respawn-invulnerability.html

Thanks to everyone we scrimmed and matched, gg's. We look forward to competing in the next game (Bf3? MOH? BfBc2V? Solitaire?), but until then, drop by our forums and tell us whats up and why GOOSE is so bad.
